The amendment clarifies requirements for supply lines serving additional thermally activated pressure relief devices (TPRDs) on compressed hydrogen storage systems. It specifies that supply lines must be constructed from metallic materials, demonstrate mechanical integrity through qualification tests excluding drop tests, and establishes handling procedures to prevent damage. The proposal also defines container attachments and refines test procedures for burst pressure, drop impact, permeation, and localized leak testing. |

Working Party on Passive Safety (cf French: Groupe de Rapporteurs sur la Sécurité Passive)
Global Technical Regulation
An internationally standardized system (i.e., ISO 13216) for attaching child safety seats directly to a vehicle’s frame, without using the car’s adult seatbelt to secure the seat (largely equivalent to “LATCH” in the USA and “UAS” in Canada).
Informal Working Group: A group of experts authorized to develop proposals for consideration by WP.29 without being bound by formal UN rules of procedure.
