on, roll-off vessels) and conflict with the road surface and local infrastructure (i.e. grounding out), which will lead to damage or reduced life of sideguards.

Proposal to clarify the definition of bi-directional vehicle.

Proposal to amend to meet the visibility requirements of UN R125, there is a notch in the lower edge of the black band of the front window in some vehicles. This is required to satisfy the requirements of UN-R125, but is considered to be meaningless for driving vision and needs to be corrected.

Proposal to resolve such an inconsistency with UN R125 to harmonize the location of the lower datum point (at 5°) of the angle of obstruction requirement in
paragraph 5.1.3. (at 4°).

“Placeholder” document introducing draft new requirements under the EDR Step 2 workstream. The document defines non-volatile memory for permanent EDR data storage and volatile memory for temporary data buffering. Requirements specify that EDRs capture and record data to non-volatile memory when triggers occur, with capacity for at least five events. Triggers include sudden deceleration exceeding 3.25 m/s² for 0.7 seconds, vehicle stops at 0 km/h for 20 seconds, and safety system activation. The amendment allows certain stop events to be written to volatile memory only, transferring to non-volatile memory when other triggers occur or the master control switch deactivates, reducing memory wear in vehicles with frequent stops.

Proposal for amendments to working document GRSG/2025/51, This proposal is aimed at allowing the certification for peculiar vehicle architectures (e.g.
high-performance vehicles), where generally the “R” point of the driver seat is not more than 450 mm from ground level. High-performance vehicles have peculiar characteristics. For instance, in order to reduce the aerodynamic drag the frontal surface is reduced. This leads to specific architectural solutions such as thinner and very tilted “A” pillar, smaller field of view, low volume cabin compartment, compared to mass-market vehicles.
