Proposal for Supplement 1 to UN R102 to amend provisions for vehicles of categories X and Y and vehicles with an Automated Driving System operating at speeds above 6 km/h. Amendments add logic signal transmission to the ADS indicating power system/control system failures, correct engagement of positive locking systems, and maximum extension of hydraulic or pneumatic close-coupling devices. Testing provisions are modified for ADS-equipped vehicles, including steering equipment actuation at maximum performance allowed by the ADS. |
