Review of the work behind the proposal to clarify GTR 9, in particular concerning the definition of the headform testing/contact area for measurement purposes.

Submission aimed at introducing provisions to permit the effective upper belt anchorages of M2 and M3 vehicles to be adjusted below the current minimum height specified in paragraph 5.4.3.6, when subject to certain additional requirements.

Submmission aimed at resolving errors in the current text of the UN Regulation concerning the anchorage angles (α1 and α2) and the seating reference point (R-point).

Proposal aimed at preventing unintentional disengagement of ISOFIX child restraint systems from their anchor points.

Submission aimed at preventing different interpretations of the phrase “positively guide the lap strap” during the dynamic test.

Proposal to include vehicles equipped with automatically activated door locking systems into the test procedure of UN Regulation No. 94.

Proposal to add L category vehicles (e.g., motorcycles and mopeds) to the scope of UN R100 on battery electric vehicle safety.

Proposal to include vehicles equipped with automatically activated door locking systems in the test procedure for UN Regulation No. 95.

Submitted by the Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (REESS) informal group, a 66-page proposal to incorporate such storage systems into the UN Regulation on battery electric vehicle safety.

Proposal to correct text for electric vehicles in UN Regulation Nos. 12, 94, 95 and 100. The protection from direct contact with live parts concerns occupants and not the powertrain. The proposal replaces the word “power train” with “occupants” in the referenced rules.

Proposed text of a UN Global Technical Regulation (UN GTR) on safety of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Additions to the Passive Safety Working Party agenda for its May 2012 session.

Working draft (from the 20 Dec 2011 meeting of the EC Working Group on Motorcycles (MCWG)) of the EU regulation on vehicle functional safety requirements (RVSFR) for the approval of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles under discussion between the European Commission and interested parties.

During the 50th session of GRSP, the chairperson had requested participants to prepare a list with abbreviations used in the UN regulations under GRSP. EC had volunteered to carry out this task and it was agreed that the list would be
submitted to GRSP as an informal document.

GRSP/2012/11 proposes to correct text for electric vehicles in UN Regulation Nos. 12, 94, 95 and 100, replacing the word “power train” with “occupants” in the referenced rules. This document replaces ‘registration’ with ‘approval’ in transition provisions in accordance with WP.29 guidelines.

GRSP/2012/10 is the proposal to incorporate such rechargeable energy storage systems (REESS) into the UN Regulation on battery electric vehicle safety. This document from the REESS informal group proposes further editorial clarifications and corrections.

GRSP/2012/12 is the proposed text of the new UN GTR on safety of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. This proposal from OICA would retain the “barriers alternative” for post-crash electrical safety (in effect removing brackets that signify tentative language from the relevant text).

Document GRSP/2012/7 proposes adapt the test procedures of UN R94 to take into account vehicles equipped with automatically activated door locking systems. This OICA proposal would allow for ‘mixed configuration’ of both locked and unlocked doors during testing.

Proposal to delete erroneous cross-references in text, making reference only the “adjusting system” which is defined in section 2 of the Regulation.
