UN Regulation No. 12 aims to reduce the risk of injury to a driver due to the behavior of the steering mechanism during a front-end collision. The regulation also addresses post-crash risks related to the electrical power train operating on high voltage and the high voltage components and systems which are galvanically connected to the high voltage bus of the electric power train.
