Proposal to clarify the obligations of the manufacturer in relation to the provision of information regarding the location and safe use of emergency exits and fire extinguishers

Proposal to improve accessibility of vehicles of categories M₂ and M₃, class I.

Proposal from the GRSG task force on Automated Vehicles Regulation Screening to enable the application of UN R107 to ADS vehicles, including exemptions of vehicles of subcategories X and/or Y from certain provisions concerning manual driving, attention to non-DDT tasks otherwise performed by the driver, introduction of provisions for “ADS features to type 1 and type 2”, and to update provisions concerning the running mass and occupants.

Proposal seeks to remove reference to providing information in the vehicle handbook, so as to maintain current harmonised practices.
