Advanced Emergency Braking Systems

GRVA may wish to resume consideration of the proposal tabled by the expert from Germany for a new UN Regulation on Urban Emergency Braking System (UEBS), specifically for heavy vehicles travelling at low speeds and for the protection of vulnerable road users.

GRVA agreed to resume consideration of the proposal tabled by the expert from France for a supplement to UN Regulation No. 152 (Advanced Emergency Braking System for M1 and N1), aimed at allowing the use of virtual testing in the context of this Regulation.

GRVA agreed to resume consideration of an amendment proposal to the scope of UN Regulation No. 131 (AEBS for heavy vehicles), tabled by the expert from Australia, to clarify requirements in the scope requesting for reciprocal recognition with UN Regulation No. 152 (Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) for M1 and N1 vehicles). The proposal is complemented by an informal document proposing amendments to UN Regulation No. 130 for the same purpose.

GRVA may wish to consider any other proposal, if available.
