UN R0 International Whole Vehicle Type Approval (from 19 Jul 2018)
UN Regulation No. 0 on uniform provisions concerning the International Whole Vehicle Type Approval UN Regulation No. 0 establishes a system for mutual recognition of whole vehicle type approvals within the framework of the 1958 Agreement. This regulation is unique in that it governs how a manufacturer may obtain a single vehicle-level approval representing compliance across multiple UN Regulations. In other words, UN R0 does not prescribe technical provisions for the evaluation of performance as much as it describes how approvals under UN Regulations may be consolidated into a single approval. WP.29 adopted the initial regulation (international approval superseding some but not all national/regional requirements) during its November 2017 session. A second phase of work is underway to expand the scope of the regulation. International Whole Vehicle Type Approval International Whole Vehicle Type Approval System (IWVTA) UN Regulation No. 0 UN R0
