The purpose of this effort is to develop a regulation for use within the International Whole Vehicle Type Approval system to address the need for uniform requirements for tires as equipment installed on a motor vehicle. GRRF approved the proposed regulation during its February 2016 session. This text is based upon the European Commission Regulation No. 458/2011. The proposal has now been sent to the World Forum for consideration during its June 2016 session.
