Proposed text and supporting report for the establishment of a global technical regulation on light vehicle tires, submitted to the Working Party on Brakes and Running Gear for approval by the Informal Group on the Tyre GTR.

This document seeks to correct a “copy and paste” mistake concerning a signature requirement made when copying text from Annex 11 into Annex 12, Appendix 4. This proposal would delete the superfluous passages.

Proposal to correct the omission of the rim-diameter code 25 for the calculation of metric-designated tyres (this rim code appears in Annex 5, Table 7 for code designated tyres).

European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) proposal to amend the snow test method for C3 tyres in order to prescribe the wider of the possible speed ranges.

Proposal to align the definition of the temperature correction coefficient “K” in UN Regulation No. 117: 02 series of amendments with ISO 28580. The issue is linked to tire categories: ISO refers only to load index while UN R117: 02 series refers to class C1, C2 and C3 tires.

Proposal to allow the use of test tracks constructed according to the new ISO 10844:2011.
