GRVA drafted a resolution addressing AI in wheeled vehicles, organized two workshops, reviewed definitions, and identified considerations on data management. The guidance recommends that industry shall not issue software updates significantly modifying certified functions without resuming certification procedures, that trained AI-systems be validated by authorized parties and assessed for safety, security, and environmental performance before deployment, and that data protection and privacy regulations be fully respected. Annex 1 provides simplified definitions of AI-based systems and related terms for vehicle regulations context. |
