The present requirement for booster with belt guides for the diagonal belt is more stringent than for boosters without belt guides. This proposal aligns the requirement for belt disengagement with the requirements for other child restraint systems ((e.g. the displacement criteria and the criteria as indicated in Annex 15, para. 6.2.4.) and at the same time proposes new language to clarify the affected text.

Proposal to clarify that the recently increased height requirements for the effective upper belt anchorage (Supplement 4 to the 07 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 14) can be satisfied by means of a “belt adjustment device for height” that is part of the belt-anchorage as well as a device that is part of the belt itself, each with a distinctive approach.
