27 Jan 2017 Proposal for correction to ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2015/62 (Germany) GRB-65-01 2017-01-27 Correction to paragraph 6.2.2. "Sound level limits" to add a reference specifically to paragraph 3.1 of Annex 3 in order to ensure interpretation of the sound limit values as application only "noise in motion" and not to "stationary noise". This aligns the 02 and 03 series texts. Germany

31 Aug 2017 Problems with noise emissions of L-category vehicles (Germany) GRB-66-12 2017-08-31 Discussion of motorcycle and related vehicle noise issues, especially related to aftermarket modification (non-original replacement exhaust silencer systems (NORESS)). Germany
5 Sep 2017 Possibility of “Pass-by-Light” Noise-measurement of vehicles of Category L (Germany) GRB-66-17 2017-09-05 German authorities have carried out a study to assess the possibility for measuring UN R41.04-approved L category vehicles using typical "roadside check" equipment. The study found that such equipment provides a "lite" version of the UN 41.04 procedures that is useful in evaluating real-world performance. Germany intends to pursue a national "pass-by lite" test directive for UN R41-approved motorbikes and for non-original replacement exhaust silencer systems (NORESS) roadside and periodic technical inspections. Germany
16 Jan 2018 UN R92: Proposal for a Supplement 3 to the 01 series (Germany) GRB-67-02 2018-01-16 Proposal to introduce provisions for non-original replacement silencing systems (NORESS, independent aftermarket muffler systems) with multiple, manually or electronically adjustable, rider-selectable operating modes or variable geometries (NORESS with “flexibilities”). These "flexibilities enable the replacement systems to meet the requirements of Annex 3 (i.e., during testing) while producing much higher noise (sound pressure) outside the Annex 3 conditions. This amendment would require such NORESS to meet the ASEP requirements of UN R9 and UN R41. The amendment further introduces language taken from UN R51. In effect, NORESS with flexibilities performance under normal driving conditions would not be permitted to deviate from its performance under testing. Germany

The proposal introduces conditions, procedures, and corrections to be applied to Lurban to account for the difference in test conditions. France Germany
