3 Apr 2014 Proposal for Supplement 7 to the 05 series of amendments to Regulation No. 49 WP.29/2014/39 2014-04-03 The scope of EU Euro VI standards for heavy-duty vehicles has been expanded compared with Euro V. In order to prevent inconsistencies that could affect the ability to offer all vehicles for export, this proposal would apply the expanded scope retrospectively to the 05 series of amendments to UN R49. This proposal was adopted by the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) at its 68th session based on document GRPE/2014/6, not amended.
3 Apr 2014 Proposal for Supplement 4 to the 06 series of amendments to Regulation No. 83 WP.29/2014/40 2014-04-03 Proposal to align the regulation with the full requirements for vehicles that meet “special social needs” under the regulatory framework of the European Union. In response to the extension of the scope of Euro VI legislation down to 2380 kg vehicles, this proposal would also add an exemption to take into account overlap between UN R83 and UN R101 with regard to light-duty vehicle CO<sub>2</sub> emissions and fuel/energy consumption. This proposal was adopted by the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) at its 68th session based on document GRPE/2014/3, as amended by para. 25. of the session report and document GRPE/2014/7, not amended.

3 Apr 2014 Proposal for the 01 series of amendments to the draft Regulation on Retrofit Emissions Control (REC) devices WP.29/2014/43 2014-04-03 Proposal to revise the definitions of REC devices and to introduce stricter limit values (reduction levels) for REC systems and transitional provisions for the sale of REC systems that meet the requirements of the REC Regulation in its original form. To assure coherence with the change in the definitions, the text also includes a revision of the test sequence for particulate reduction and the equivalence matrix for the Regulation No. 49 Standard series. The text was adopted by the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) at its 68th session based on document GRPE/2014/4 as amended by GRPE-68-17-Rev.2.
2 Apr 2014 Proposal for Supplement 10 to the 02 series of amendments to Regulation No. 51 WP.29/2014/44 2014-04-02 Proposal originally by OICA (document GRB/2014/2) to update requirements for the noise test track from ISO 19844:1994 (i.e. Annex 8 of this Regulation) to ISO 10844:2011 and to allow for repaving of existing, non-compliant test tracks to meet the ISO 10844:2011 standards as adopted by the Working Party on Noise (GRB) at its 59th session. This change concerns the measurement of vehicle passing noise.
3 Apr 2014 Proposal for Supplement 12 to the 11 series of amendments to Regulation No. 13 WP.29/2014/45 2014-04-03 Proposal to update the transitional provisions of UN R13, including provisions for extensions of type approvals granted according to the antecedent requirements of the original approval. These amendments also relate to the transfer of brake-related telltale provisions to UN R121. The proposal also would clarify and align UN R13 with UN R107 on bus construction with regard to the exemption of articulated buses and coaches from the requirements for vehicle stability equipment. These proposals are based on documents GRRF/2014/7 and GRRF-76-20 as amended and reproduced in Annex II of the report of the GRRF on its 76th session.
