Proposal to introduce a new light emitting diode (LED) substitute light source category H11/LED/6 for road illumination applications.

Proposal to add a reference to the installation parameters of the licence plate illumination lamps determined during their type approval process. Every type-approved device or pair of devices have their own geometrical position in relation to the rear registration plate which is determined based on the illumination levels, maximum gradient value, angles of visibility and light incidence angle. This proposal would introduce a reference to these parameters in UN R48.

Proposal to clarify the height requirements for the installation of the dipped-beam headlamp, reversing lamp and rear fog lamp for vehicles of category G (designed for off-road use).

Proposal to introduce new requirements for headlamp levelling, in particular on the vertical inclination in relation to the dipped-beam headlamp mounting height.

Proposal to define the switching conditions of dipped beam and daytime running lamps (DRL) and the variable intensity of rear lamps in conjunction with traffic conditions.

Proposal to improve lateral lighting on vehicles of more than 4,6 m and to take into account asymmetric vehicles designs.

Proposal to correct errors identified during the transposition on UN R98 and R123 into UN R149.

Proposal to introduce Light Emitting Diode replacement light sources (LEDr) into UN R37.

2. specifications for H7, H8/H8B, H11/H11B, H16/H16B and H18 light source categories with respect to the “g” parameter
3. definition for light centre and associated amendment to the specification of the LR4 light source category
4. the use restriction for light emitting diode (LED) light source categories LW2, LW3, and LW5
5. specifications for Lx3, LR4 and Lx5 light source categories with respect to the cap/holder interface
6. specifications for specifications for LR1, LW2, L3, LR4, L5, and L1/6 light source categories with respect to test voltage
7. correcting some details of light source category specifications in the Consolidated Resolution on the common specification of light source categories, and
8. administrative updates of IEC cap sheet references in light source category specifications.

Proposal to improve requirements linked to the manual levelling device.
