The Resolution provides inspection requirements across nine main categories including braking equipment, steering, visibility, lamps, axles, chassis, safety equipment, environmental emissions, and supplementary tests for passenger vehicles and battery/hybrid electric vehicles. The recommended inspection method includes visual inspections, functional checks, and performance testing using available techniques and equipment without vehicle dismantling. A Certificate of Roadworthiness and Communication Form example is provided for communication between importers and testing facilities. |

Transitional provisions apply: as from official entry into force, Contracting Parties shall not refuse type approvals under the 01 series; as from 1 September 2028, Contracting Parties shall not be obliged to accept approvals to the original version first issued after that date; Contracting Parties shall continue accepting original version approvals first issued before 1 September 2028 and equipment/parts approvals issued under the original version. |
