USA: Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard; FMVSS No. 213 Child Restraint Systems and FMVSS No. 225 Child Restraint Anchorage Systems

Request for authorization to develop test procedures to assess the mechanical integrity and durability of supply lines to any additional Thermally activated Pressure Relief Devices (TPRD) connected directly to the Compressed Hydrogen Storage System (CHSS).

Consolidated revision to make corrections, clarifications and improvements that have already been introduced into the 02 and 03 series of amendments of UN R154. The proposal is based on document GRPE/2024/2, GRPE-90-11-Rev.1, and GRPE-91-11 PEV run-in provisions only). Proposal to align the manufacturer information document with the type-approval certificate, adapt the calibration of measurement equipment to PN10 (which measures more particles than PN23), and clarify that compliance when measured according to PN10 demonstrates compliance with the same limit according to PN23.

Proposal to amend paragraph 3 in the proposal to revise Annex 7: In the relevant section related to specifications and/or tests, insert a new paragraph, to read:
“For all vehicles, equipment and parts with which the approval tests are performed, the manufacturer shall provide the necessary information (e.g. software versions and system parameters) allowing the Technical Service to uniquely identify the configuration of all hardware and software that have an influence on performance with regard to this Regulation; this information shall be appended to the test report.”

Proposal to amend Appendix 1 to Annex 1 to insert heading “Annex 1 – Appendix 1” and amend the model of declaration of compliance for Software Update Management System Manufacturers to reference paragraph 7.1 of UN Regulation No. 156, and amend Annex 4 to insert headings “CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE FOR” and “SOFTWARE UPDATE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” in the model of Certificate of Compliance for Software Update Management System with the 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. 156.
