UN Regulation No. 48 (Installation of Lighting and Light-Signalling Devices)

GRE will address a proposal tabled by the expert from Germany that introduces vehicles with a driving system which controls its operation and may be operated by driver support features, automated driving features or by an Automated Driving System (ADS).

GRE is invited to consider a proposal by the experts from GTB that corrects and clarifies the failure provisions.

GRE will consider corrections proposed by the experts from GTB.

GRE may wish to address draft amendments tabled by the experts from GTB which clarify and standardize the use of flashing side marker lamp for all types of vehicles.

GRE will consider a proposal by the experts from GTB that corrects and clarifies the provisions for matched pairs.

GRE will address a proposal prepared by the experts from GTB that extends to passing-beam headlamps of adaptive front-lighting systems (AFS) the possibility of projecting driver assistance symbols and patterns. This proposal is accompanied by a draft amendment to UN Regulation No. 149.

GRE is invited to consider a correction made by the experts from the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA).

GRE will address a proposal the expert from the International Association of the Body and Trailer Building Industry (CLCCR) that increases the number of manoeuvring lamps on trailers according to the length of the trailer.

At the previous session, GRE agreed to revert to the GTB proposal to remove the minimum distance between the left and right front/rear position lamps.

GRE will receive a report on the progress of the Special Interest Group (SIG) on the 09 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 48 and will consider a proposal by SIG that add the park condition of a vehicle in the scope of UN Regulation No. 48 and minimize glare and distraction to other road users.
