The expert from the Special Interest Group (SIG) on the 09 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 48 reported on their progress (GRE-87-20) and presented a draft proposal that added the park condition of a vehicle in the scope of UN Regulation No. 48, and minimized glare and distraction to other road users (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2022/27, together with its justification in GRE-87-15 and examples in GRE-87-23). GRE delivered comments on the proposal and invited SIG to finalize it for consideration at the next session. The expert of EC was concerned that the SIG proposals might open UN Regulation No. 48 to new features which should not be necessarily regulated. 26.
