Proposal to amend paras. 15.1.1. to 15.1.4. to change the transitional provisions and allow Contracting Parties to issue approvals according to the 05 series of amendments. As from entry into force of the 06 series, no Contracting Party shall refuse approval under the 06 series. As from 18 months after entry into force, no Contracting Party shall grant approvals unless the helmet or visor type meets the 06 series requirements. As from 30 months after entry into force, all Contracting Parties shall prohibit approval marks referring to type approvals granted under the preceding series. As from 36 months after entry into force, Contracting Parties may prohibit the sale of helmets and visors which do not meet the 06 series requirements. |

Proposal to establish uniform provisions concerning the approval of M₂ and M₃ special purpose vehicles designed specifically for the carriage of children to assist in the prevention of children being left inside. The regulation applies to vehicles of categories M₂ and M₃, class B and III. Vehicles shall be equipped with a physical inspection system that engages when the vehicle master control switch is turned off and generates an external visual and audible warning if not disarmed within 3 minutes for buses or coaches not exceeding 22 passenger seats, or within 5 minutes for those exceeding 22 passenger seats. The physical inspection system shall not influence the bus or coach’s performance or safe operation, and failure of the system shall not affect safe operation of the vehicle. |

Proposal to amend UN GTR No. 1 to introduce requirements for emergency door opening. The amendment addresses safety concerns arising from electrically operated door opening systems by requiring that power-assisted latch release controls, unlock controls, and door opening systems remain capable of functioning after main power supply loss for at least 60 minutes by means of secondary mechanical means, active secondary power supply, or fail-safe systems. The amendment also introduces definitions for latch release control, door handle, retractable door handle, unlock, unlatch, power loss, vehicle master control switch, and main power supply; requires latch release controls and door handles to be intuitive and unobstructed; and establishes interior and exterior test procedures to verify compliance with power loss requirements. |

Requirements cover fuel leakage limits, hydrogen storage system integrity post-crash, high voltage electrical safety, REESS protection, and crash compatibility criteria. Tests reference UN R94, UN R95, UN R137, and UN R153. Vehicles derived from already-approved types may use previous test results if mass increase does not exceed 8 per cent. Approval marks and type approval procedures follow standard 1958 Agreement schedules. |
