- remove the requirement to indicate the rated wattage in the marking of lamps equipped with electronic light source control gear and/or non-replaceable light sources and/or light source module(s), and
- refine the requirements for lamps equipped with several light sources, including in systems fitted with an operating tell-tale that indicates the failure of any one of these light sources.
This proposal consolidates UN R119 prior to its being “frozen” and superseded by the three new comprehensive regulations (forward lighting, light-signalling, and retro-reflective devices) drafted under the Simplification of Lighting Regulations program.
