| ADS marker lamps: Work-in-progress draft for a new UN Regulation |

Based on AVSR-31-03_Rev.2 and GTBWGSL 7201, this work-in-progress draft proposes a new UN Regulation for ADS Marker Lamps. The proposal applies to vehicles of categories M, N, L6, L7, and O. It establishes approval procedures for ADS Marker Lamp components and vehicle installation requirements if fitted on a vehicle (the draft includes a tentative statement that nothing prevents prohibiting the use of ADS marker lamps). Key provisions include luminous intensity requirements with day-time and night-time levels for front (AMF), rear (AMR), and side (AMS) lamps; blue-green colour specifications; approval marking and labelling requirements; geometric visibility angles; electrical connections ensuring automatic activation when automated driving systems perform the dynamic driving task; and conformity of production procedures. Outstanding discussion items requiring guidance include vehicle category applicability, day-time and night-time condition definitions, reciprocal incorporation with direction indicators, alternative roof-mounted lamp options, and specification details for side marker lamp categories. Testing procedures for light sources and automatic switching conditions between day-time and night-time modes are included in annexes. |

| ADS marker lamps: Proposal for requirements |

AVSR-33-05 supports requirements for ADS marker lamps to improve social acceptance, facilitate traffic management and enforcement, and ensure smooth emergency vehicle passage. The proposal recommends installation at front and rear with optional side installation, visibility angles equivalent to direction-indicators, continuous illumination without flashing or luminous intensity variation except nighttime dimming, permitted combined use with direction-indicators when the marker lamp turns off on the side where the direction-indicator operates, and applicability to vehicle categories M1–M3, N1–N3, L6, L7, and O when towed by automated driving vehicles. |

| V2H Communication System Research Results: Visual Communication-Technology for ADS Feature Support |

V2H Communication System Research Results documents a National Project supported by Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport conducted across three phases from 2021 to 2026. The research develops vehicle-to-human communication technology for autonomous driving systems through study of communication cases, validation of V2H elements, technology development, and road demonstrations. Survey findings indicate hybrid projection and display approaches achieve 77.7% positive response rates. Trust in autonomous vehicles increased from 24.0% to 41.5%, and safety perception improved from 21.6% to 37.3%. Projection messages reduce pedestrian crossing decision time by 3.64 seconds and ensure 100% crossing decisions with yielding messages across all demographics. Cyan-colored text-based messaging demonstrates superior visibility and user preference ratings of 3.9 to 4.2 on a 5-point scale compared to symbol-based formats. |

Proposal to add a footnote to the Scope stating that nothing in the regulation prevents a Party from prohibiting the application of these lamps, renumber para. 10.5. as 10.6., and amend para. 10.6.1. to require all ADS Marker Lamps installed on the vehicle to be automatically switched ON by the ADS when performing the DDT, to be switched OFF when conditions no longer exist, to always allow independent switching ON and OFF from all other lighting functions, and to not be switched ON when an ADS performs the DDT in a country that does not allow the use of ADS Marker Lamps. |
