The proposal also covers a specific provision on optional monitoring of headform contact with A-pillars, windscreen header and cowl and proposes inconsequential adaptations and clarifications to the existing requirements

Proposal to clarify the conditions under which variations of a vehicle can be covered under a single vehicle type without having to apply for a separate approval for another type. The proposal amends certain current provisions that explicitly state that differences will only cause a new type of vehicle if the differences affect the results of the impact test and clarifies the application of this principle across the regulation.
