Japan transposed the Non-Road Transient Cycle (NRTC) of the GTR on Non-Road Mobile Machinery Emissions (GTR No. 11) into its regulations as a new emissions test mode for specialty diesel vehicles on 18 March 2010, but decided not to introduce provisions for crankcase emissions on 28 October 2010.

This document is a working draft describing the complementary specifications to R49 (Revision 6-6 series of amendments) in order to enable the type approval of new EURO VI heavy duty dual-fuel engines and vehicles. The document is under review within the GFV.

Draft of the proposed amendments are aimed at redefining the class of bi-fuel vehicles to permit the simultaneous use of gas and petrol in gas mode. This proposal was submitted to the Working Party on Pollution and Energy as document GRPE-63-05.
