Proposal to establish requirements for the type approval of on-board monitoring (OBM) systems that:

1. detect vehicle exhaust emissions exceeding prescribed limits,
2. monitor propulsion battery storage capacity and health,
3. warn drivers as warranted, and
4. communicate such information off-board.

Updated amendments to enable application to ADS vehicles, including in-session revisions.

Proposal for a new UN Regulation for Uniform provisions concerning the approval of light duty passenger and commercial vehicles with regards to On-board monitoring (OBM) systems, environmental vehicle passport (EVP) and in-vehicle display of environmental data. An informal document amending this proposal is under development.
