Proposal is to define common rules while leaving the choice to
countries to adopt them or not. These rules must in particular make it possible to
automatically cut off the work lamps in circulation to avoid glare and make traffic
safer

In order to harmonise requirements among different installation Regulations, the SLR Officers offered to draft a proposal for Reg. 48 to clarify that devices not allowed in the Regulation are prohibited (in line with Par. 5.17. of Reg. 53).
