Informal Working Group: A group of experts authorized to develop proposals for consideration by WP.29 without being bound by formal UN rules of procedure.
Regulation Software Identification Number: A dedicated identifier, defined by the vehicle manufacturer, that represents the type-approval-relevant software of the electronic control system(s) contributing to the characteristics covered by a specific UN Regulation (where “X” stands for the regulation number — e.g. RX79SWIN for UN Regulation No. 79 on steering equipment).
