WP.29 voted to align UN Regulation procedures with the EU Whole Vehicle Approval Directive 2007/46/EC. This document proposes revisions to regulations under the purview of GRSG per the revised UN Regulatory Procedures and Transitional Provisions (document WP.29/1044/Rev.1).

Proposal as adopted by the Working Party on General Safety Provisions (GRSG) at its 102nd session to exempt a vehicle from the geometric provisions for bumpers of UN R61 when the said vehicle complies with the performance requirements specified in the draft Regulation on pedestrian safety.

Proposal to update UN R61 to conform with current procedures for revisions, extensions and withdrawals of approvals. This document supersedes document GRSG/2011/22 and informal document GRSG-102-05.

Proposed amendments to update UN R61 in view of technological progress in the design of vehicle bumper systems and to align the regulation with terms and provisions of the GTR on pedestrian safety.

Proposal to update UN R61 to conform with current procedures concernings revisions, extensions, and withdrawals of approvals.
