At its 86th meeting, GRRF recommended to cluster subjects together and form a number of task forces to deal with different issues related to the ACSF work. One task force was devoted to Periodic Technical Inspection (PTI).

Proposal to update the scope of the PTI informal group activities to cover new subjects, including diesel emissions system tampering and automated vehicle in-use performance.

Presentation of PTI Informal Group interest in investigation tampering and fraud involving Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) devices/systems.

5. Prescriptions for inspection of highly automated and autonomous vehicles (draft proposal June 2019),
6. Guidance for education and certification of PTI inspectors, PTI quality assurance, and testing centres, and
7. Uniform provisions for the inspection of wheeled agricultural and forestry tractors with regard their roadworthiness.
