Proposal to harmonise and consolidate the regional procedures and limits, update the provisions to align with Euro 7 requirements, including new particle number (PN10) provisions, a new SHED limit for evaporative emissions, updated On-board Fuel Consumption Monitoring provisions, new annexes with requirements relating to in-vehicle battery durability and a new test for range of Pure Electric Vehicles at low temperatures. An informal document amending this proposal is under development.

AI informal group: Proposal for revised terms of reference
|

Proposal to compile information on developments of artificial intelligence in road vehicles and create a list of use cases as well as a list of terms and definitions regarding the use of artificial intelligence in regulated automotive safety systems, perform a literature review addressing existing available standards, research, current and emerging practices and horizontal regulations relating to the use of artificial intelligence, define the target AI systems and develop a reference document including guiding questions and answers for the use and operationalization of artificial intelligence in these regulated automotive safety systems, and report back to WP.29 by June 2026 with the initial outputs and a recommendation for the appropriate form of publication of the reference document. This proposal is based on AI-06-04/Rev.2 and WP.29-195-20.
