Annex to GRPE 92-08

Proposal to introduce optional calculation method for determining f₀ and f₂ road load coefficients, allow measurement of drivetrain delta on component dynamometer, permit evaluation of split runs to increase data base, and enable test vehicle configuration using interpolation method. The calculation method determines final f₀ and f₂ values considering theoretical delta between coast down vehicle and final vehicle. Component dynamometer measurement increases accuracy because not all combinations of road load relevant components can be assembled, allowing all component combinations to be evaluated independently.

This proposal intends to establish a definition for ‘Hydrogen ICE vehicle’ and the related method for ‘trip validation’

Calibration of measurement equipment to PN10 measures more particles than calibration to PN23. It is therefore logical that compliance with a limit when measured according to PN10 demonstrates compliance with the same limit according to PN23 but this text should be added for legal certainty.

Proposal for a new series to align with Euro 7 requirements, including provisions on manipulation devices and manipulation strategies, anti-tampering, security and cyber security, and extended lifetime and In-Service Conformity requirements for in-vehicle battery durability. The concept of “Operating Mode Switch” has been removed from the Regulation and these two paragraphs were omitted from this removal and should be deleted from both the manufacturer’s information document and the addendum to the approval certificate.

This document aims at transposing UN GTR 24 into a new UN Regulation on uniform provisions concerning the approval of non-original and identical replacement brake parts with regards to particle emissions.
