Proposed text of the guide to worldwide environmental and related regulations concerning electric vehicles as developed by the informal working group on Electric Vehicles and the Environment.

Suggestion by the European Commission to develop several global technical regulations concerning specific environmental aspects of electrified vehicles falling outside the scope of the WLTP (Worldwide Light vehicle Test Procedure for emissions and fuel efficiency) test cycle. These new GTR would complement the WLTP work by addressing adjacent issues such as battery durability or charging performance. The idea is to allow for these complementary rules to be referenced within the WLTP or other GTR but also to enable their use as stand-alone rules regardless of whether a nation applies WLTP.
