This proposal aligns the transitional provisions of Revision 6 of UN Regulation 49 and thus in document GRPE/2014/3 with the General Guidelines for UN Regulations (WP.29/1044/Rev.1). This change requires changes to Table 1 of Annex 3 to cover diesel and dual-fuel engines bearing the letter B.

The proposal also would allow for methods other than monitoring the reagent tank level or reagent flow in order to monitor reagent consumption in Annex 11.

Outline the next steps of WLTP informal working group for the development of electrified vehicle regulations, as supported by the European Commission, and suggestion of possible areas for collaboration with the informal working group on Electric Vehicles and the Environment (EVE).
