Proposal to explicitly note objectives behind provisions requiring manufacturers to perform in-service monitoring and reporting (ISMR) for their driver-control assistance systems approved under UN R171 and for UN R171 to be continually reviewed based on technological progress and data collected via ISMR.

Proposal to align the original proposal to amend UN R171 with UN R79 and UN R157 with regard to the use of the term “activation” in relation to the powertrain.
