Reformatted working draft text prepared by the informal group on UN Regulation No. 55 to introduce provisions for agricultural couplings and related applications.

KBA has noticed that class H50 couplings are not defined and so proposes to add this class and definitions to UN R55.

Proposal by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) to amend the proposal by Germany that increases the stringency of the UN R58 rear underrun performance requirements. This proposal would delete the labeling provision (para. 16.7) in the German proposal (document GRSG/2015/17).

Working draft proposal of the informal group on UN Regulation No. 55 to introduce amendments on:
(a) Requirements on remote indication;
(b) Availability of information on coupling fixing points for A50X couplings;
(c) On lateral strength of drawbars;
(d) Includes a new class definition for fully automatic drawbar couplings.

The pending Revision 3 to the 1958 Agreement opens the way for virtual or simulation testing for use in type approvals. This presentation considers the proposed amendment and its application to mechanical coupling approvals.

Note to inform WP.29 that the ITU-T SG12 has started work on “Speech communication requirements for emergency calls originating from vehicles”. The anticipated recommendation would include use cases, requirements, and associated test methods for the speech communication for emergency call communication originating from vehicles using a dedicated emergency call system. The latest draft 4 of this Recommendation is attached to this “liaison statement” (see document AECS-08-03).
