This document seeks to provide a high-level overview of key concepts and issues associated with the development of traffic scenarios for validating automated vehicle (AV) safety as part of new assessment/test method (NATM). It also includes a workplan for how SG1a could develop a scenario catalogue. The content of this document should be integrated in the NATM Master Document (VMAD-06-03).
