Proposal to add Japanese fuel (E0) to the reference fuel options, delete the manufacturer declaration value of normal idle CO, and change the provision of high idle and lambda into a Contracting Party option.
Japan proposes that the EPPR informal group launch work on the OBD2 GTR by January 2018. Japan intends to introduce new domestic regulatory requirements in October 2020 which will require public notification around October 2018. Therefore, Japan would like the EPPR informal group to have agreed the principle requirements of the harmonized GTR before October 2018.
