The representative of the United States of America informed AC.3 that more time was needed to finalize studies on the Injury Assessment Reference Values (IARVs) for the flexible lower legform (FlexPLI) to bumper test of the proposal for amendments to the UN GTR. AC.3 agreed to defer the decision on the extension of the mandate of the IWG to its November 2014 session on the basis of the outcome of research undertaken by NHTSA.
