8. The expert from Germany re-introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/6 to clarify how to perform the buckle-opening test, simulating the load caused by a 60 kg body, described in paragraph 7.8. of the UN Regulation. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands updated the proposal (informal document GRSP-76-48-Rev.1) with the specifications of the three-dimensional “H” (3-D “H”)-point machine which had been updated and transferred from the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles (R.E.3) to Mutual Resolution No.1 (M.R.1). Moreover, informal document GRSP-76-48-Rev.1 included the modifications that were introduced by supplement 1 to the 09 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 16 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2024/124). GRSP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/6, as amended by annex III to this report and requested the secretariat to submit it as a proposal for Supplement 1 to the 10 Series of Amendments of UN Regulation No. 16 (Safety-belts) to the June 2025 sessions of WP.29 and the Administrative Committee of the 1958 Agreement (AC.1).

The expert from CLEPA requested a study reservation. The expert from the Russian Federation noted that the proposed alternative did not provide evidence that it was safer. GRSP agreed to distribute informal document GRSP-76-18-Rev.1 with an official symbol at its May 2025 session.

10. As per agenda item 4, GRSP agreed to defer discussion on ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2023/29 at its May 2025 session.
