2. | UN Global Technical Regulation No. 13 (Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicles) |
GRSP may wish to start preliminary consideration of a proposal of amendments (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/25) to the UN GTR, awaiting the adoption of the authorization to develop the work by the Executive Committee of the 1998 Agreement (AC.3). GRSP might also wish to discuss this authorization before sending it to the March 2025 session of AC.3 for endorsement (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/28).

GRSP agreed to resume discussion on a proposal for a new series of amendments to remove the derogations for two-point safety-belts on buses and coaches, on the basis of further statistical studies. GRSP also agreed to resume discussion on alternative seating positions during driving, based on a revised proposal tabled by the expert from the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA). |

Proposal to enhance the safety of the belted passenger seated behind a seat by removing the two of the derogations for two-point belts in buses and coaches laid down in paragraphs 5.3.5. to 5.3.5.4.

GRSP agreed to resume discussion on a proposal from the expert of Finland (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2023/29) to remove derogations for two-point safety-belts on buses and coaches, on the basis of further statistical studies. GRSP also agreed to resume consideration on a proposal prepared by the expert from Germany, to clarify, how to perform the buckle opening test under paragraph 7.8. of the UN Regulation (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/6) adapted to the 10 series of amendments to the UN Regulation. |

6. | New UN Regulation on the Installation of Safety-Belts, Restraint Systems, Child Restraint Systems, ISOFIX Child Restraint Systems and i-Size Child Restraint Systems |
GRSP agreed to resume consideration on a proposal prepared by the expert from Japan that prevents the negative effects of slack from the buckle of the safety belt on vehicle occupants (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/23, stemming from ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2023/32 as amended by annex IV of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/74). The proposal is adapted to the new UN Regulation on the installation of safety-belts, restraint systems, child restraint systems, ISOFIX child restraint systems and i-Size child restraint systems.

During its 75th session, GRSP approved a new UN Regulation on ORS installation based on its decision to split UN R16 into three separate type-approval regulations. During its 75th session, GRSP approved a new UN Regulation on ORS installation based on its decision to split UN R16 into three separate type-approval regulations. Pursuant to discussions on document GRSP/2023/32 (proposal to limit slack of the safety-belt buckle in rear seats), Japan agreed to prepare a new series of amendments for this new UN Regulation on ORS installation.

GRSP agreed to resume consideration on a proposal prepared by the expert from the Republic of Korea on different issues to be resolved on activating the safety-belt reminder, as adapted to the proposal for a new UN Regulation on safety-belt reminders. |

Proposal from the ad hoc group on safety-belt reminders to clarify: (a) exemption of the presence of SBR on folding seats, (b) first level of warning tests with transmission in neutral position, and <notextile>(c)</notextile> interference of devices for remote starting of vehicles with SBR.

8. | UN Regulation No. 17 (Strength of Seats) |
GRSP agreed to resume consideration of a proposal of amendments tabled by the experts of the Informal Working Group on Equitable Occupant Protection (IWG EqOP). GRSP may also wish to resume consideration of a proposal prepared by the experts from the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) aimed at improving the whiplash behaviour of occupants of smaller stature and, in particular, of female drivers.

GRSP might wish to consider a proposal of amendments to UN Regulation No. 44 tabled by the expert from the Informal Working Group on Safe Transport of Children in Buses and Coaches (STCBC), to discontinue the possibility of granting type-approval to built-in child restraint systems.
