16. The expert from OICA introduced a proposal that aimed to delete the current 2 m width requirement for parking lamps (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2025/4 and GRE-92-31). GRE adopted the proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it for consideration and adoption to the November 2025 sessions of WP.29 and the Administrative Committee (AC.1) as draft Supplement 22 to the 06 series, draft Supplement 9 to the 07 series, draft Supplement 7 to the 08 series and draft Supplement 2 to the 09 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 48. GRE noted that the Vienna Convention (1968) would need to be aligned with the adopted proposal. GRE agreed to contact the Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety (WP.1) ant its secretariat with the aim to identify the proper procedure for amending the Vienna Convention.
