UN Regulation No. 51 (Noise of M and N categories of vehicles).

GRBP will be informed about the activities of the Informal Working Group on Additional Sound Emission Provisions (IWG ASEP) and of the Informal Working Group on Measurement Uncertainties (IWG MU).

GRBP is invited to consider a proposal that was prepared by IWG ASEP with the aim to clarify the current wording of UN Regulation No. 51.

Separately, GRBP will address a proposal by IWG ASEP that introduce Real Driving Additional Sound Emission Provisions (RD ASEP) as a preliminary test procedure for the purpose of collecting experience on the new test and evaluation concept.

GRBP will also consider proposals prepared by IWG MU that introduce a temperature- and test-track compensation for vehicle noise.

GRBP will receive a report on the activities of the Taskforce on Vehicle Sound (TF VS) and will revert to the draft TF VS guidelines (GRBP-74-03-Rev.1).
