Proposal to incorporate additional tire sizes within the regulation for commercial vehicle tires sold in countries requiring type approval according to UN Regulation No. 54.

30. The expert from ETRTO proposed inserting new tyre sizes in Annex 5 of UN Regulation No. 54 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/19). GRRF adopted this proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their June 2014 sessions as draft Supplement 19 to UN Regulation No. 54.

Text prepared by the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) to correct editorial errors in the adopted proposal for Supplement 18 to Regulation No. 54 (document WP.29/2012/49).

31. The expert from ETRTO introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/26, proposing to correct the text of UN Regulation No. 54. GRRF adopted this proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their June 2014 sessions as draft Corrigendum 6 to UN Regulation No. 54.

Proposal to include ATV tires in the motorcycle and moped tire regulation in order to enable the type approval of tires designed to equip quadricycles covered by the new Regulation (EU) No. 168/2013 of 15 January 2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles (L category vehicles). These tires may also equip some agricultural tractors (SbS vehicles) covered by the new EU Regulation.

32. The expert from ETRTO introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/20 and sought guidance. The expert from IMMA proposed to collaborate with ETRTO on this subject. GRRF noted, the amendments proposed in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/22 were linked to this item. GRRF agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its next session on the basis of a revised proposal by the expert from ETRTO.

25. The expert from ETRTO presented GRRF-76-25, supporting ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/20 amended by GRRF-76-06 as well as ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/22 [concerning UN R106] and proposing the insertion of All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) tyres in UN Regulation No. 75.

26. In response to the proposal above, the expert from IMMA presented GRRF-76-41 supporting the insertion of provisions for ATV tyres in UN Regulation No. 106. GRRF agreed to revisit this subject at it September 2014 session on the basis of a revised proposal that the experts from IMMA and ETRTO agreed to prepare.

34. The expert from ETRTO presented GRRF-78-42 supporting ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/20 as amended by GRRF-76-06 as well as ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/22 aimed at inserting All Terrain (AT) tyres in UN Regulation No. 75.

36. Following the discussion GRRF adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/22 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/20 as amended by GRRF-76-06, GRRF-78-45 and GRRF‑78-46 and as reproduced in Annex V. The secretariat was requested to submit them to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their March 2015 sessions as draft Supplement 12 to UN Regulation No. 106 and Supplement 15 to UN Regulation No. 75, respectively.

Text prepared by the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) to remove All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) tires from UN Regulation 106 on agricultural tires.

Text prepared by the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) to clarify the test procedure of the second load/speed performance test used for tires designed for speeds above 240 km/h for tires (as identified by the letter code “V” or “Z” in the size designation).

33. The expert from ETRTO presented ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/21, proposing a clarification of “the second load/speed performance” test. GRRF adopted this proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their June 2014 sessions as draft Supplement 14 to UN Regulation No. 75.

Text prepared the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) to introduce new tire sizes.

34. The expert from ETRTO proposed to insert new tyre sizes in Annex 5 of UN Regulation No. 106 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/23). GRRF adopted this proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their June 2014 sessions as draft Supplement 11 to the original version of UN Regulation No. 106.

Editorial improvements to the wording of marking requirements, superseding document GRRF-74-03.

35. The expert from ETRTO introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2013/24. GRRF noted that the proposed amendments to paragraph 3.1.13. need clarifications and agreed to revisit this item at its next session on the basis of a revised proposal by the expert from ETRTO.
