During the consultations, the experts reviewed the proposal tabled by the expert from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2025/32), which aimed to ensure that where vehicles exhibit functionality meeting the definition of Automatically Commanded Steering Function (ACSF) of Categories B2 or E, they are required to comply with the correct series of UN Regulation No. 171. The experts also reviewed a proposal tabled by the expert from OICA, which contained amendments to the Remote-Controlled Parking (RCP) provisions (GRVA-22-07 and GRVA-22-09) in UN Regulation No. 79 (Steering equipment).
51. GRVA adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2025/32 and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote in November 2025.
52. GRVA noted GRVA-22-09 and GRVA-22-07. GRVA agreed to consider a revised proposal at the next session.
53. During the consultations, the expert from OICA proposed that transitional provisions should be inserted in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/61 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/62.
54. GRVA reviewed GRVA-22-35 and GRVA-22-36. GRVA could not follow the recommendation by OICA due to administrative reasons but agreed to resume discussion in September 2025.
