European Enhanced Vehicle Safety Committee
Non-Governmental Organization

The EEVC was founded in 1970 as a mirror organization to the American ESV program (Enhanced Safety Vehicle) and is a European research organization closely related to the national European governments. EEVC focuses on regulation-related research. For example, the testing and verification of occupant protection in frontal and side impact tests and the components for pedestrian protection have been developed by the EEVC.
