Pursuant to the addition of a new speed symbol for forestry tyres, this proposal would add a bonus loads column for A6-rated tyres to Annex 7-Part D. The proposal also corrects the tables concerning “Agricultural implement tyres – Normal section sizes”.

Proposal to align UN R106 with international standards (ETRTO, T&RA and ISO 4351-2 table 2) with regard to Improved Flexion (IF) tyres and Very high Flexion (VF) tyres to add load indexes to the table in the Annex 4 to keep up with the technical evolution of tyres. Proposal to introduce new tyres size usually listed in Annex 5 in a new Resolution in order to simply maintenance of this annex and reduce the volume of amendments. This proposal includes changes regarding Improved Flexion (IF) tyres and Very high Flexion (VF) tyres. The proposal harmonizes with EU framework legislation for agricultural vehicles.

Proposal to add tyre sizes and tyre classification codes common in the United States and standardised by the Tire and Rim Association, but needed under UN Regulation No. 106 in order to permit their type approval in conformity with Regulation EU 167/2013 for imported tyres. The proposal adds kPa marking specifications for use in measurements and tyre testing. The proposal further includes changes to the text and addition of tyre size designations to Annex 5 and Annex 7:
