Combined GTB and CLEPA proposal, superseding documents GRE/2011/46 and GRE/2012/25, to update UN R27 in line with technological progress and performance-based methodologies. The main changes are:

a) Revised provisions to combine color boundaries for the night time color,
b) Replacement of Illuminant C with Illuminant D65 in the measurement of fluorescent materials,
c) Alternative methods introduced for instrumental measurement of the fluorescent color,
d) New Annex 10 to replace reference to ISO 105,
e) Clarification of the wind test (Annex 5),
f) Standardization of the test surface representing the road,
g) Simplification of the test device for clearance to the ground in Annex 3,
h) Amendment of COP requirements, and
i) 36-month transitional period in a new paragraph 14.
