Proposal to transfer electronic stability control systems provisions out of UN Regulation 13-H and into a new stand-alone regulation. The proposal arises from a perceived need to simplify UN R13-H to facilitate its application within the proposed international whole vehicle type approval.

Proposal to delete references to electronic control systems and brake assist systems within UN R13-H in order to simplify use of the regulation within the proposed international whole vehicle type approval regulation. These provisions would be taken up by new separate UN Regulations.

Suggested changes to the proposal to introduce the concept of “revision of approvals” into the UN Regulations under GRRF responsibility in order to align the UN Regulations with the EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval Directive 2007/46/EC.
