Vehicles of category Y and vehicles of category X without manual mode intended to be operated on-board are exempted. Vehicles of category X with manual mode must comply. New definitions added: “Safety Concept” and “Three-dimensional reference system.” Approval marks amended to include Unique Identifier option. Alternative requirements permitted for category X vehicles with manual mode not using driver’s seat, provided equivalent safety demonstrated via safety concept. This document is intended to amend and supersede GRSG/2026/17.
