The Chair of GRSG recalled the outcome of the discussion at the previous sessions (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/97, paragraphs 33 to 36 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/100, paragraphs 71. and 72.) and requested an update of the development of an additional proposal of amendments tabled by the expert from the European Commission.

41. The expert from the European Commission informed GRSG of an exchange of information among experts that led to the conclusion that the situation was more complex than expected. Therefore, he announced that his organization would relinquish the initiative. However, he stated his readiness to support initiatives of this kind based on further data. He finally invited the expert from OICA to provide data, if needed. GRSG agreed to remove this item from the agenda of the October 2022 session unless new proposals were submitted by its experts.
